Hard to Blog for a little while

We've had some problems with the parent of some children we look after.  He's made death threats and on the same night someone tried to force entry into our home - on the upper floor near the bedrooms.  We've had to move out temporarily - well we don't know how temporary it will be.  It's hard to know what to do as we have to keep everyone safe.  Hopefully we'll make all the right decisions.  My hand sewing has gone with me, so I'll be keeping on with that.  It's very soothing when you're stressed.  Will update when I can.

First block completed for the Quilt Aid 2010

My first block completed for the Quilt Aid Project 2010.  The quilt has some lovely blocks designed by Australian Quilt Designers and it is a really pretty quilt.  Nice to support such a worthy cause as well.

Placemat finished

I just finished this placemat through a class at my local sewing shop.  Once again made using Sewing Revolution Rulers.  The centre can be changed.

Four Sitcheries completed for 'Tis the Season

Just completed these four stitcheries in the SAL 'Tis the Season.

Machine embroidered table centre

This is a machine embroidered table centre I made at our local sewing shop classes.  Using Sewing Revolution Rulers for placement of embroidery and quilt markings.

A day of sewing

I managed to stay home and actually sew today.  I've finished a project I started at our local sewing shop - a octagonal placemat.  Using the Sewing Revolution Rulers - they are a fantastic product.  I've taken a photo, but it won't be on here until tomorrow.

I've finished four stitcheries for 'Tis the Season and they all have borders.  I've traced some more stitcheries for the Homespun "Give Thanks" Stitchery project they had online last year.  Only a few to go now.

Done some work on the Lynette Anderson "My Garden" Stitcheries.  Amazing what can be achieved with just a little bit of time.  Hoping to get some more done tomorrow.  Also tonight I have to drive my eldest son about an hour away to a meeting so I'll get some more done waiting for him.

I have so many partially completed projects - love to get some finished!!  Also conscious of my promise to myself to get some early Xmas presents done.  I know how frantically busy the end of the year is!!  I have traced out an extra stitchery from 'Tis the Season - thought I might do the photo album.

Til tomorrow.

Finally worked out how to put photos on my blog!!

After much procrastination and battling with my computer, I have finally got a picture for my blog.  These are the beautiful materials that Terease selected for the 'Tis the Season Stitchery.

I've started some stitcheries - and these are the three I have completed.  Not in the right order, but I'll get that organised now.  I think that Chooky Blue's suggestion of doing some extra which can be used for the smaller projects and, therefore, some early Xmas gifts is a great idea.

I am enjoying doing them!!

Waiting, waiting

At our local hospital waiting for our two year ok'd to have her pre-op Appt. She has to have minor surgery done. Wonder how long we'll be here. I'd normally bring some hand sewing but because it's the two year old I didn't!!
